From October through to December 2019 Canal Crossing in collaboration with Koekiehuis, was a drop-off point for the Boks vir ‘n Boervrou. This initiative encouraged individuals to donate food, homeware, and basic necessities to farmers in drought-ridden areas in the Karoo. These necessities helped farmers and especially their wives to alleviate the financial burden caused by the drought.

We were overwhelmed by the support of the community and the number of boxes we received through this period. We would like to thank each member of the community who donated a box. Without your generosity and selflessness this would not have been possible.
